Project Overview
The public can download any iNaturalist data using the export tool. All iNaturalist licensed, research-grade observations are also indexed by GBIF, where you can search and download them using their tools. Project added observation fields, that this project uses to detail phenological status, are not always carried over in exports off the iNaturalist platform. AMC staff will continually quality control the iNaturalist observations for our targeted species through the existing curation capacity on the iNaturalist platform that will include confirming identifications (even for Research Grade observations) and phenophase fields. AMC will download the iNaturalist project data every 6 months, evaluate other information such as the geolocation and the geolocation accuracy flagging data that does not meet a accuracy threshold, and back it up locally on our internal Sharepoint site. AMC will upload the final dataset collected during this project to the FEMC data archive as detailed below.
