Methods
The methods followed in the creation of the dataset, including description of field, laboratory and processing steps, and quality control procedures
Current Methods
Abundance Ranking of Ferns
Fern diversity was assessed at the subplot level at each FHM plot. Every species found within the boundaries of a subplot was identified and then each species was given a ranking based on its abundance. Abundance was quantified using a scale that ranged from 1-5, with 1 representing the presence of one or two individuals and 5 representing that total ground cover consisted almost entirely of the species in question.
