To monitor water at Lake Champlain beaches to determine fitness for recreational use.
Objectives
Monitor water at selected Lake Champlain beaches for E. coli and fecal coliform bacteria and for the presence of potentially toxic blue-green algae; alert the public to beach closures due to bacteria and blue-green algae.
