Project Overview
Between 2004 and 2014, 39,653 seedlings were planted as a part of a restoration project on TNC owned clayplain forest land. The land has been managed as pasture for many years prior to TNC ownership. This planting effort was a means of restoring the are to the clayplain forest community type. All seedlings were revisited and measured for status (live/dead), vigor, and browse in 2015-2018. In 2018 an additional study on competing vegetation and soil conditions was conducted. Data is available for the seedling re-measurements.
Objectives
