Project Overview
Two high resolution cameras in the tower of Old Mill at UVM are the Burlington station in the CAMNET HazeCam regional network, which is administered by the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM). The original setup funding was provided through the Burlington EMPACT project. In 2005 the VT State Air Quality Division provided to upgrade the site from a single camera to the pair of cameras that provide the current images. Historical data back to the summer of 2001 are available from CAMNET. Current data can be found by going to the CAMNET website (see link).
Objectives
The purpose of CAMNET is to raise public awareness about the effects of air pollution on visibility.
