Viewing a version of dataset "Maximum Temperature"
Version name: 2019 Update
This page provides information about a version of dataset "Maximum Temperature" that was created. This version information can be used to accurately cite the dataset at a particular point in time, and to define dynamic subsets of data as they were used in publications or reports.
This approach to creating versions is built upon the Dynamic Data Citation best practices recommendations of the Research Data Alliance
- Purpose
As our climate changes, it is predicted that there will be greater variability in annual temperatures, as well as warmer maximum temperatures in the summer. Higher summer temperatures can lead to drought and heat stress to forests, resulting in declines in tree health and tree mortality.
