Project Overview
The SUNY Board of Trustees prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the construction of The Hilton Garden Inn on an 11-acre parcel of the Stony Brook University's west campus. The Hilton Garden Inn is a 135-room, 5-story hotel which totals approximately 90,023 gross square feet with a project site of approximately 2.3 acres. The building fulfills a need for hotel and conference center facilities established by the New York State Legislature in 1986, Chapter 830 (amended in 1989 by Chapter 200). This environmental review is pursuant to the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
