Project Overview
The aim of this project is to develop a basic model of carbon storage potential in key Vermont soil orders, and further, to make the model an accessible and intuitive tool providing information and an understanding of soil carbon storage in Vermont’s changing climate.
Objectives
By using both the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative's Forest Health Monitoring sites and their accompanying data, this supplementary research will fill gaps in their soil data allowing an overview of how stored carbon is distributed across Vermont’s landscape.
