Providing the information and resources needed to understand and address forest fragmentation in the Northeast

A key challenge to the forests in our region is fragmentation – the breaking up of contiguous forest cover and alteration of the ecosystem processes and services that that forest creates. The information, data and materials needed to understand this issue and advocate for solutions can be fragmented itself. This dynamic information portal and clearinghouse collects Vermont forest fragmentation related studies, publications, action plans and other relevant media in one place and provides a searchable interface to help locate existing resources related to forest fragmentation.
