Tree species growing at their elevational limits: bioindicator of climate or atmospheric change

Project Overview

Tree cores were collected along with an inventory of regeneration for tree species at and near their elevational limits on five mountains in Vermont.

Objectives

The objective of this project was to compare growth rates and regeneration of tree species at and near their elevational limits as an evaluative tool to understanding community changes that are mediated by climate-atmospheric change.
