- Title: Long-Term Ecosystem Monitoring Project Database
- Start Date: 2008-01-01
- End Date: 2058-12-31
- Description: This dataset contains the LEMP database created by the FEMC. This database contains data on coarse woody debris, descriptive plot and subplot information, specific visit information for plot vegetation sampling, vegetation data for each quadrat, saplings, seedlings, and trees. Plots are located throughout the Green Mountain National Forest of Vermont and the Finger Lakes region of New York.
- Purpose: Organize the LEMP datasets that make up the LEMP datbase. LEMP is a 50-year monitoring effort that examines the broad-scale environmental changes -- particularly changes in climate, air quality, soil health, and vegetation.

► Attribute List
- Attribute Name: tblCoarseWoodyDebris
- Label: Coarse Woody Debris
- Description: Coarse woody debris was measured at each subplot along a 24' transect that is ran at 30 degrees from subplot center. The fields that make up this table are PlotID, SubplotID, Year, TransectAutoID, Transect Diameter, LargeEndDiameter, SmallEndDiamter, Species, DecayClass, and Length.
- Storage Type: int
- Measurment Type: ordinal
- Unit: English
- Attribute Name: tblPlotInfo
- Label: Plot Information
- Description: This table provides descriptive plot information that aids in relocating plots. The fields that make up this table are PlotID, PlotName, Latitude, Longitude, CoordinateSystem, ForestType, Elevation, Slope, Soils, Directions, and Comments.
- Storage Type: text
- Measurment Type: nominal
- String Format: D-M-YY
- Unit: English
- Number Type: -1
- Attribute Name: tblPlotVegVisit
- Label: Plot Vegetation Visit Info
- Description: This table contains visit information related to vegetation surveys done per plot. The fields that make up this field are PlotID, Year, VisitDate, VegSampleKind, VegCrewName, PlotVisitNotes.
- Storage Type: text
- Measurment Type: nominal
- String Format: D-M-YY
- Number Type: -1
- Attribute Name: tblQuadratVegData
- Label: Quadrat Vegetation Data
- Description: This table contains vegetation data collected on three 1 m^2 quadrats at each subplot. Quadrats were set up 15' from subplot center at 30, 150, and 270 degrees. Species presence/absence and canopy cover at three layer heights was sampled. For cover layer fields, 999 indicates trace amounts (<1%)
- Storage Type: int
- Measurment Type: ordinal
- String Format: D-M-YY
- Number Type: -1
- Attribute Name: tblSapling
- Label: Sapling
- Description: This table contains all measurements taken for saplings found within the microplot of each subplot. Microplots were located 12' at 90 degrees from the subplot center with a 6.8' radius. Health and physical measurements were recorded.
- Storage Type: decimal
- Measurment Type: nominal
- Unit: English
- Attribute Name: tblSeedling
- Label: Seedling
- Description: This table contains seedlings counts per species at each subplot of each plot.
