- Title: Monthly Reservoir Sampling
- Start Date: 1987-01-01
- Description: Sampling occurs on a monthly basis between April and November. The variables collected are Ammonia (as N), Apparent Color, Chloride, Chlorophyll a, Fecal Coliform, Total Coliform, Dissolved Oxygen, Nitrate/Nitrite (as N), Total Nitrogen (as N), Total Dissolved Nitrogen (as N), Dissolved Organic Carbon, Total Organic Carbon, pH, Total Phosphorus (as P), Total Dissolved Phosphorus (as P), Photic Zone Depth, Total Phytoplankton, Secchi Disk, Silica, Total Suspended Solids, Soluble Reactive Phosphorus (as P), Specific Conductance, Temperature, Turbidity and Total Plankton.
- Purpose: The objectives of these efforts are to monitor the drinking water supply in NYCDEP reservoirs and guide operational changes in routing or water supply intake depth.
