        • Method Description: NOAA representatives visited NYBG to help select the grassy knoll area for the site. A map was drawn up by our Institutional Mapping department for our Observations department to put down the two concrete slabs that were needed. A weather station expert, Dave Adams (Adams Environmental Systems, Inc.) advised on the equipment needed and spent a day working with us on installation. Note: we did not clear out initial data, so 2013 aggregate data should be taken with a grain of salt.

        • Method Description: Software set to collecte data points every 15 minutes and store on weather station server, which includes a displayable dashboard of the weather data in real time (provided by Adams Environmental Systems, Inc.). Data also pushed to a U2 Universe database that resides on an NYBG server. Program on the server aggregates the raw data to provide daily, monthly and year to date summaries for an alternative dashboard on the NYBG server. NYGB dashboard due for a rebranding.
