      • dataset_eml_methoddescription: Eighteen locations, about 2 acres in size each, were used for the species survey and collections for chemical analysis. Locations represented the wilderness geographically and vegetationally. Undisturbed and disturbed habitats were sampled.

      • dataset_eml_methoddescription: Lichens were collected in spunbound olefin bags at four localities for laboratory analysis: north of Little Mud Pond, hill west of Lye Brook, west side of Bourn Pond and north of Kelly Stand Road. Species collected were: Cladinia rangiferina; Evernia mesomorpha; Hypogyminia physodes; and Parmelia sulcata. Ten to twenty grams of each species was collected at each locality.
