Locations represented the wilderness geographically and vegetationally. Undisturbed and disturbed habitats were sampled.

dataset_eml_methodsEndDate: 1993-08-09 - dataset_eml_methoddescription: Lichens were collected in spunbound olefin bags at four localities for laboratory analysis: north of Little Mud Pond, hill west of Lye Brook, west side of Bourn Pond and north of Kelly Stand Road. Species collected were: Cladinia rangiferina; Evernia mesomorpha; Hypogyminia physodes; and Parmelia sulcata. Ten to twenty grams of each species was collected at each locality.
